OKGA : Recollections of Old Boys
There is a special feeling about Knox; it is relaxed and busy; conscious of tradition, yet friendly; demanding and forgiving. We are very proud of the young men who pass through the School.
Most of our students take full advantage of the School’s many opportunities. An excellent curriculum, an exceptional sports program and an extensive co-curricular program help to develop young men who, sure in who they are, will actively engage in the world they discover on leaving the School.
Students at Knox have every occasion to experience a chance to be…the best they can be.
Some recollections from well-known Old Boys...

"I am a person who loves to learn new things and challenge myself. I totally credit this quality to the education I received at Knox. One’s effort was always held higher than one’s results, and a true passion for learning and discovery was at the heart of everything we did.” Hugh Jackman (1986) Actor |

"Knox is a place full of inspiration. Everything from the staff to the facilities is truly inspiring and helps the students to accomplish their goals and dreams. Without all the opportunities at Knox, I simply would not have achieved what I am doing today. To this day, I still remember very clearly my first conducting lesson in music class!” Philip Chu (1998) Conductor |

"What I most thank Knox for, apart from a first-class education, is exposing me to an extremely diverse range of activities and allowing me to discover things I had both a passion for, and ability in. Had I not gone to the school of both my father and my sons, a curious ability to pull rugby balls out of a muddy mass of men would likely have lain dormant within me forever. Through things such as debating and school plays, I was able to discover that I loved speaking and had no talent whatsoever for acting. It also gave me friends for life.” Peter FitzSimons (1978) Former Wallaby, Journalist and Author |
