Accommodation
Boarders are accommodated in horizontal Year groups, enabling them to be treated appropriately to their age. Adults undertake all supervision of boarding at Knox, which is particularly important for the boys' growth and development.
Boarders in Years 7 to 10 are accommodated in dormitory-style rooms while in Years 11 and 12, boarders move from the main campus to Ewan House in the grounds of the Preparatory School. In Year 11, boys reside in individual units and in Year 12, in separate rooms. Each house is under the supervision of a Housemaster and his wife, together with four adult resident staff. The Housemasters and many of the resident staff are teachers at Knox enabling a close liaison between School and Boarding House and ensuring each student has every opportunity to develop. |

Staff Responsibilities
The Director of Boarding is responsible to the Headmaster for the smooth operation of boarding. This entails the establishment and implementation of appropriate policy and procedures, selection and training of staff, communication with parents and advocacy for students, staff and parents.
Housemasters are responsible to the Director for the daily operation of his house and for ensuring the physical, emotional, academic and spiritual development of the boys under his care.
Resident staff assist the Housemaster in the running of the house and act as a mentor and role model for a small group of boys in their tutor group.
