Senior : Student Care : Spiritual Life

Knox Grammar School began as a Presbyterian Church School, securing its traditions on the basis of Scottish conventions. In 1977, Knox became a school of the Uniting Church in Australia to whom it remains totally committed in faith and practice.
Through its Chapel Program, the School is involved in regular worship, prayer and the celebration of Holy Communion.
The Chapel program, together with the Christian Education Program, seeks to confirm our Christian heritage as the foundation of values. We assist boys to come to an understanding of the Christian faith as revealed in the Old and New Testaments and interpreted in the "Basis of Union" of the Uniting Church in Australia. |

By enhancing spiritual growth through the development of faith, we encourage boys to make and maintain a commitment to Jesus Christ and His teaching that will lead them to develop a mature Christian life.
We help boys to understand the oneness of all peoples which transcends cultural and economic, national and social boundaries, that they may live and relate to others in a Christlike manner. |

Boys also develop an awareness of the importance of worship and are encouraged to become involved in the life of a local parish. To this end, Knox seeks to ensure that every boy is spiritually, academically and socially aware of his responsibilities on graduating from School.
The chapel welcomes all those who wish to worship. |
