The Knox Modern Languages Department currently offers two annual exchange programs and also offers additional opportunities as they become available.
Paulinum Gymnasium, Munster, Germany

This program started in 2000 and currently involves two Knox students each year.
Applications are open to students in Yrs 10 or 11 who currently study German and intend to study German for the HSC.
The German students come to Knox in October until the end of Term 4 for approximately 10 weeks. The Knox participants then return to Germany in the Christmas holidays for up to 8 weeks. |

This program started in 2005 and currently involves two Knox students each year.
Applications are open to students in Yrs 10 or 11 who currently study French and intend to study French for the HSC.
The French students come to Knox at a mutually agreeable time - usually for 6-7 weeks in June and July. The Knox participants then return to France in the Christmas holidays for an equivalent stay. |

On occasions, one-off opportunities arise, the details of which are published in The Knoxonian. For example, in Terms 3 and 4 in 2005, a student from Adenbuettel, Germany stayed with two Knox families and one of the Knox boys travelled to Germany in the Christmas holidays. |
