Knox Grammar School and Pymble Ladies' College together comprise the Sydney Chapter of Youth Leaders International, which has as its mission "the goal of providing exceptional young people with the very best in leadership training and programming."
The program runs for three years and commences with the selection of three Year 10 students from each school, who go to Washington DC in late July to attend the week-long world leaders' conference. In the second year, the group travels to a selected country for the week-long world cultural experience component and finally, in the third year they go to Girton College, Cambridge, England for their life skills training course. The latter two groups go during the June-July school holidays to minimise the interruptions to the study program.
A member of staff from either Knox or PLC accompanies the group for the three years of the program.

Applications are called for in The Knoxonian, usually early in Term 1. Those who wish to be considered at that time are to write a letter outlining their interest and forward this, together with a CV, to the MIC by the nominated date.
