Y11 and 12 Administrator: Mrs Marita Tyler (02) 9487 0431

The Centre is located in Room 19 in the Main School Building. If parents require information about aspects involving programs or activities, please phone your son's Student Administration Officer.

Frequently Asked Questions - What do I do if ....
I am absent from school?
Your parents or carers must phone the relevant Student Administration Officer (outlined above) before 9.00am on the morning of the absence, providing their name, your name and Year group and a brief reason for the absence. If a phone call has not been received by the due time, parents will be contacted regarding the absence.

The Board of Studies requires a follow up note from parents for absences when your son returns to school. This should be addressed and handed to the relevant Student Administration Officer in Room 19 of the Main Building, the SAO Office

I lose something?

Think about where you left it, retrace your footsteps and have a good look there and in the nearby area.  Other areas to search include the classroom and your locker area.  Look in the lost property room near the GDM office, behind the Urgent Notice Board and in the PE Centre and check the lists of lost property on Year noticeboards and the list at the Lost Property Office, which is open Monday to Friday, at recess 10.25 - 10.45am.

If you require to be out of uniform while you look for or replace the lost item, please visit the relevant General Duties Master for an Out of Uniform slip, which should be carried with you until the situation is resolved.  If any staff member asks why you are out of uniform, the slip will provide the explanation and provide permission.

Make sure EVERYTHING you bring to school has your name on it!

I have to leave School for an appointment?
To attend an appointment away from School, you must bring a note to your Student Administration Officer first thing in the morning to obtain your orange Out of Class slip.  PLEASE try not to arrange appointments on sport practice days.  If this can't be avoided, tell your sport coach in advance, personally.

I'm late for school (after 8.25am) or class?
Report to the Student Administration Officer to obtain a red slip.  If she is unavailable, report to the General Duties Master.  If you are late for a valid reason, please bring a note of explanation from your parents or guardian.

I feel sick?
During class time, ask your teacher for permission to visit the School clinic.  You must get your diary signed by the class teacher before you leave.  Out of class time, report with your diary to the Student Administration Officer for your year group, the General Duties Master, your Yearmaster or tutor.

It is raining?
Don't assume a sports' practice has been cancelled - see your sport coach and/or read the noticeboards.  If it is raining on Saturday and the game or event might be cancelled, ring the wet weather number - (02) 9901 7701 - or the captain of your team or activity to obtain the latest information.  If it is raining at School at lunchtime, eat quietly in a covered area.

I get a detention?
For a School detention, you must serve the detention on the date agreed to on the pink slip.  The pink slip must be signed by your parent or guardian and given to the General Duties Master (GDM) when the detention is served.  Report to the GDM's Office after school on the day nominated.

I'm lost, worried or can't cope?
See your tutor immediately, or your Yearmaster, Director of Student Services, Deputy Head or GDM.  Or go to one of the School Counsellors located downstairs in the Art building.

If I can't understand the work I am set?
TELL your teacher - ASK for help!  Be realistic: if you have tried hard, been attentive and well behaved, people will be pleased to help you.  If you have not tried, have been a nuisance, then it's not to late to change your ways. If, after help, you are still having trouble, see your tutor for guidance.
