Rules for Facilities | Community Use
Old Boys, Community and Parents
The Lawson Centre is open for the use of Old Boys, current Knox parents or family member on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during term time from 7:00-9.30pm. Participants should not arrive before 7.00pm. The cost is $4.00 per head payable to the staff member member in the sports office. All entry and exiting of the Lawson Centre must be done through the front doors only. Please note that children and current students are not allowed to use the centre on these nights.
Each participant's co-operation is essential if this service is to continue. Please ensure the following rules are respected:
- No smoking.
- No food or drink.
- No chewing gum.
- Non-marking soled shoes must be worn.
- No bare feet or bare torsos other than in the pool area.
Please check rules relating to specific activities:
- Squash - provide own racquets and balls.
- Pool - goggles must be worn and can be purchased at the desk. An adult training group operates each evening, please enquire on arrival. A more structured adult swim group operates on Mondays and Wednesdays under a coach.
- Weights Room - all people using this room must follow an approved program.
- Basketball - can be played on main floor.
- Volleyball/football - from time to time, the Old Boys' volleyball and football teams book half of the gym floor.
