Big Science Competition 2014

In May, 90 Knox Year 7 Science students participated in the 2014 Big Science Competition.

The boys competed against 49,000 students from over 660 secondary schools in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Iran and Switzerland. The paper consisted of 30 multiple choice questions and challenged students to think critically and solve scientific problems using everyday examples.

Twelve Knox boys received a high distinction, with 15 boys receiving a distinction.

Knox student Eric Zhao achieved the honour of being awarded the title of ‘Top Scorer’, having achieved one of the highest scores in the competition. Eric was one of 60 students worldwide to achieve this coveted title.
