Donate your old mobile phones

12-Jun-2012

Year 9 Knox student Henry Forsaith-Breese is collecting old mobile phones to fundraise for the Sony Foundation’s You Can Program and CANTEEN. Henry has set himself the ambitious target of collecting 800 unwanted phones to support this worthwhile cause.

The phones will be dismantled and recycled. The materials will be sold and the funds will be used to build facilities for teenagers undergoing cancer treatment.

"The You Can schools program is amazing,” says Henry. “It aids youth with cancer and is very fulfilling to instigate and coordinate.”

"This is a whole school project to get as many old phones as we can,” he said.

Members of the public are encouraged to donate old, unwanted phones.
