Talent on show at Knox Film Festival

Zombies, magicians and skateboarding were among the subjects of films entered into the inaugural ‘Knox Flix Short Film Festival’.

Knox students in Years 7 to 12 were invited to create a short film up to four minutes in length based on the UN World Humanitarian Day theme of ‘The World Needs More #...’

In the Best Junior Film, ‘The World Needs More #Adventure’, created by Year 7 students Harry Wagstaff and Flynn Bryant, two boys saved the world from a zombie apocalypse by playing a cello.

The Best Senior Film and Best Overall Film, ‘The World Needs More #StudyBreaks’, created by Year 12 students Harri Sharp and Harley Rossetto, saw a student escape his studies through a vortex in his bedroom wall into a Ghostbusters dance party.

The final winners were judged by industry professionals Mitch McManus (Firecracker Films), Chris and Jefferson Grainger (Corporate Video Australia) and Graham Donald (Seven Network).
