Knox students to visit NASA

19-Mar-2015

The Knox tour, which will visit Houston, Texas, in June and July, will include a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of NASA, astronaut training, the use of friction-less travel simulators, and meet and greets with NASA astronauts, scientists and engineers.

“The program has been designed to link with the Australian Curriculum and is focused on experiential learning through the boys working in teams to plan a space mission,” said Mrs Karen Yager, Dean of Academic Excellence and Innovation.

The students will visit the NASA Johnson Space Centre, the US Space and Rocket Center and the Challenger Center.

“The students who will participate in the trip are boys who have an interest in Science, Technology and Physics, who are considering a career in these fields,” said Mrs Yager.
