Five students from Knox Grammar recently volunteered at the Nyngan Remote Schools Super Camp.
This camp brought together students from remote parts of western NSW including Bourke, Enngonia, Walgett, Wanaaring and Weilmoringle for a week of shared
educational experiences, activities and fun.
Jack Biggins, Nick Rahme, Michael Meyerhans, Angus Pratt and Lachie Hemphill with Knox teachers Jay Crowhurst and Helen Clarke volunteered at the camp,
coordinating science and sport activities for the young students.
“The week long program for children in remote small schools included a range of activities and lessons throughout the day and evenings,” said Mrs Helen
Clarke, Knox Head of Social Justice. “Much excitement was part of the week with events including a highly anticipated Disco Under The Stars.”
