National Track and Field Knock-out Competition

The Knox Track and Field Team has competed at the National Track and Field Knock-out Competition at Townsville in Queensland in sweltering 36 degree heat.

The Knox Junior Team finished second overall and the Senior Team finished fifth.

Year 12 student Jack McArdle won a national individual silver medal in U18 110m hurdles with a personal best time of 14.18 seconds.

Cameron McEntyre (Year 9) won a silver medal in the U16 javelin with a throw of 56.52m and James Armstrong (Year 9) won a bronze medal in the U16 javelin with a 52.82m throw.

Ben Burton, Tom Cameron, Edward Yoong and Lewis Clabburn won the Junior 4x200m relay with a time of 1 min 38.77 secs
