On Target and On the Ball

01-Feb-2012

Demonstrating the breadth of talent at Knox, two of our students, have built on their successes of last year, to again achieve national honours in archery and rugby.

Simon Bold, now in year 9, has followed his gold medal at last year’s Australian Indoor Archery Championships with amazing results in the Archery Youth National Championships held in Armidale New South Wales from January 1-7, 2012.

Simon won the following medals

Gold- Men Compound match-play competition

Silver- Intermediate men compound target competition

Silver- Intermediate men compound field competition

Not only that, but Simon has now been selected to represent Australia in the Trans Tasman competition against New Zealand, in Rotorua in April.

What brilliant results!

Also going on to further honours is Cameron Clark, who represented Australian Schoolboys against new Zealand last year, and has now been selected in the full Australian Sevens team to compete in the next two IRB World Sevens tournaments, in Wellington and Las Vegas. For a young man just out of school, that is an extraordinary achievement.

Congratulations to both boys!
