Janet Naylon, Print Publications Manager at Knox dominated the recent NSW State Combined Event Athletics Championships winning the W45 women’s Pentathlon. The Championships were held at Blacktown International Sports Park over two days, 7 and 8 January, 2012.

Janet participated in the pentathlon event which included the 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin and 800m. 

Her next major competition is the World Masters Indoor championships which will be held in Finland this Easter. To add to this Janet has been selected as the Team Manager for the trip, where she will be responsible for organising the team and be a part of the relay selections as well as competing in the 60m, 200m and long jump..

At the recent North Sydney Community Awards, Janet was acknowledged for her dedication to athletics as she was presented with an Australian Government Sport Achievement Award. Janet was recognized for her 30 years of services to the sport of Athletics, which she began at the age of 10 through Little Athletics.

Janet has held numerous committee positions in clubs, including the Sydney University Athletic Club and Northern Suburbs Athletic Club, where she is currently Vice President and competes in master events.
