Swimming success at NSW State Age Championships

Congratulations to our Knox swimmers for their outstanding results at the NSW State Age Championships.

More than 1,000 swimmers from 100 swim clubs participated in the championships, including 30 swimmers from Knox.

Highlights:
  • Kaea Bidois (Y11), Jack Ryan (Y11), Andrew Hemsworth (Y12) and Will Yang (Y12) won gold in the 4x50m freestyle relay and broke the NSW record by over 1.5 seconds
  • Josh Collett (Y7) – gold and NSW record for 12 years 100m breaststroke, silver in the 200m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m medley and 50m freestyle
  • Jack Ryan (Y11) – three gold medals in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle
  • Ethan Hansen (Y8) – gold in the 13 years 200m butterfly
  • Tyler Krenkels (Y7) – gold in the 200m backstroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke
  • Shane Ting (Y8) – gold in the 13 years 200m breaststroke and silver in the 100m breaststroke
  • Our 15/under boys’ freestyle team of Lachlan Kelly (Y9), Sydney Robertson (Y10), George Zhu (Y9) and Antonio Matruglio (Y9) won silver in the 4x50m freestyle relay
