The world comes to Knox for Year 7 Languages Day

20-Jun-2012

Knox has held a Languages Day for Year 7 students to experience global cultural diversity.

“The day aimed to give the students a taste of the culture of Germany, Japan and France,” said Knox languages teacher Mr Richard Winstanley.

The celebrations included learning traditional German dancing, trying out Japanese drumming and engaging in a French pop concert.

The boys also sampled pain au chocolat (chocolate croissants) and participated in an international trivia quiz.

All Knox students learn German, Japanese and French in Year 7 and then elect one of these languages for more in-depth study in Year 8.
