Saturday night, 2 April, the annual Trivia Night in aide of the Knox Pipes and Drums Band was held at KG1. An excellent crowd of nearly two hundred Knox parents and their guests, including Mr and Mrs John Weeks, enjoyed the challenges offered by our Trivia Host Tim Shorter, a Knox Old Boy.
The night was a great success because of the effort put in by the organising sub-committee of the Pipes and Drums Supporters Group. KG1 was a picture. Special thanks must go to Michael Sharp, Amanda Petro, Susan Astridge, Tricia Perl, Karin Thornton, Kathy Begg and Jillian Haggerty. The range of items for prizes and auctions was large and the quality excellent. Our key sponsors were Mercedes Benz and Burns and Burns Real Estate but there were dozens of others. Support for all our sponsors from the Knox community over the coming year will help us make next year’s Trivia Night a similar success. The financial result was a record and will go a long way to equipping the boys in the band with quality equipment and uniforms. As well the funds help them attend various events, including the upcoming Anzac Day, where they always represent Knox with style and skill.
Your support for the boys on Anzac Day as they march through the city centre will be greatly appreciated.
