Visit by Saroo Brierley

04-Apr-2014

The Senior School has celebrated Harmony Day with a visit by Saroo Brierley, an Indian-born Australian who was separated from his birth mother and found her after a separation of 25 years.

Saroo worked with English classes throughout the day at Knox and spoke at Senior School Assembly about his journey of discovery.

Saroo became lost in India when he was just five years old. We was adopted to Australia, but never knew where in India he was from. Using GoogleEarth and vague memories of landmarks, he tracked down his birthplace and found his biological mother and family. Find our more about his amazing story by watching Saroo on Channel Nine's 60 Minutes.
