Prospective : Enrolments : Insurance
Insurance With the growing prevalence of sporting accidents and the propensity of school-aged children to injure themselves where no one is at fault, the School has arranged student accident insurance for all Knox students. This insurance is in addition to Public Liability, Work Experience Cover and other insurances the School holds. All students are covered by a master policy issued to Knox Grammar School by Australian International Insurance. For a summary of insured benefits, direct inquiries to The Secretary, Knox Grammar School, PO Box 5008, Wahroonga, 2076.
The School does not insure students' personal belongings as such insurance protection is the responsibility of the owner (ie. the student or his parents). It is recommended parents obtain suitable insurance for their son's effects throughout the year.
Funding and Protection Parents and prospective parents who hope to secure an uninterrupted education for their children at Knox may be concerned by the inevitability of fee increases and the possibility of a parent's death before a student's school education has been completed. Several reputable organisations offer schemes to enable parents to plan for providing continuity of funding for School fees in either of these circumstances. Some schemes offer endowment insurance and some are a combination of investment and insurance. Payment of premiums and/or commencement of investment can occur at any time in advance of the enrolment of children at the School.
Parents and prospective parents are urged to consider such schemes by contacting the representatives of the organisations offering them. The names of some of the relevant organisations are available from the Head of Administration.
