Prospective : Scholarships : Conditions
Conditions governing the awarding of scholarships to Knox Grammar School are listed below and can be used as a guide for the future. Knox Grammar School reserves the right to change any or all of these conditions:

Applications for the 2009 Scholorship are now closed. |
| Entry Fee |
|
The scholarship entry fee is $100.00 including GST.
Those applying for music, OKG, boarding or all-round scholarships are not required to pay an additional fee. |
| Application Process |
|
Applications for entry to the Preparatory School are to be downloaded from the website and processed by mail.
Application for entry to the Senior School is made online. Applications open in December each year. After on-line application, all applicants are required to forward to the Registrar copies of:
- the applicant's birth certificate
- a recent photograph
- the most recent school report
- results of the Year 5 Basic Skills testing
- a reference from your present school or from a person unrelated to the applicant
Applications are accepted from students currently at Knox Grammar School and those at other schools.

| Examination |
|
All applicants for scholarships must sit the appropriate examination. Details regarding arrangements for the examination are published in this section of the website then notified to parents as part of confirmation of entry. |
| Music Auditions |
|
Every effort is made to arrange for auditions for music applicants to take place on the same day as the academic scholarship examination. If numbers require, additional auditions will be arranged for music scholars on the following day. |
| Interviews |
|
A short list of candidates will be interviewed. |
| Announcements |
|
Awards will be announced in April. Parents will be notified whether or not a scholarship has been awarded to their son. |
| Enrolment |
|
In the case where a scholarship is awarded to a boy not already enrolled to enter the School, immediate notice by the parents of the acceptance of the scholarship and completion of enrolment formalities will be required, including payment of the entrance fee (currently $1,250). Failure to satisfy such formalities within seven days will result in the withdrawal of the offer of the scholarship. |
| Standards |
|
All scholarships are held subject to good behaviour and diligence, including minimum standards of achievement. |
| Fee Remission |
|
The School reserves the right to divide the proceeds of a single scholarship for award to more than one candidate when candidates are equal. |
| Vacancies |
|
Should a scholarship vacancy arise, the School reserves the right to re-advertise the scholarship (or part thereof) at a later date. |
