Cadet Mapping project wins national ICT Explorers Award

A group of Knox students, Kyle Jones, Ashton Cook, Michael Gee and Dylan Pathirana, achieved second place in the SAP Young ICT Explorers Competition 2016 for the Cadet Mapping and Positioning System (CMAPS) they created from scratch.

The students designed and created their own GPS based mapping system to track our Cadets during the Annual Field Exercise (AFX) in Singleton.

The students used problem solving, coding and hands-on skills to develop a comprehensive system involving lightweight waterproof GPS units and a user-friendly interface.
