Jett achieves top cello success


Year 11 Knox student Jett van der Wallen has played cello at the annual AMEB Diploma Awards Ceremony with the Sydney Vivace Quartet.

Jett has played the cello from the age of three. He is the leader of the cellos in the Kuringai Youth Orchestra and achieved his AMEB Licentiate in Music, Australia (LMusA) Diploma in 2012. He has won numerous eisteddfods as a soloist and is also as part of a String Trio (Sydney Vivace Trio) with his sisters, Carla and Melody, who are violinists in KYO.

He is currently rehearsing in the role of Tony for Knox’s production of West Side Story in May.
