Knox Prep supports Without Words Week

Knox Prep students will participate in Without Words Week (3-9 September), an initiative to raise awareness and fundraise for the 95 percent of St Lucy’s School children who have communication disabilities.

Around 150 Knox Year 6 students will stay silent for two hours, along with their teachers, on Friday, 9 September. The Knox students will seek sponsorship, with the funds raised going towards employing a new speech therapist for St Lucy’s.

St Lucy’s in Wahroonga is a school for children with disabilities. The school is an immediate neighbour of Knox Prep.

Knox and St Lucy’s have a close relationship; Knox boys visit St Lucy’s each week at lunchtime to act as buddies in the playground.

The community can support the initiative by holding their own Without Words event or by visiting the Without Words Week website or Facebook page.
