London Olympian and former student Tim Leathart visits Knox

London Olympian and former Knox Grammar student Tim Leathart has visited Knox to speak to and inspire members of the school’s Track and Field Team.

Tim graduated from Knox in 2007 and will represent Australia in the 4 x 100 metre sprint relay at the Olympic Games, which commence on 27 July.

He shared his experiences about his time at Knox to boys who are participating in extra holiday training in the lead-up to the athletics season.

“It’s great for the boys to have the opportunity to see where they can end up if they train hard and persevere,” said the Head of the Knox Sports Academy, Chuck Ardron.

“Tim gave the boys some great advice on the importance of goal-setting and time management,” said Matt Byrne, Master in Charge of Track and Field.

Tim also answered questions from the boys and explained his busy training schedule of track sessions, weights and yoga.

“We are really grateful that Tim took the time to visit the School and motivate our students,” said Chuck.
