National Swimming Championships


Last week, 25 Knox swimmers competed at the National Swimming Championships in Brisbane with some outstanding results:

  • Leon MacAlister (Y11) gold medals in 100m and 200m backstroke, silver medals in 50m and 100m freestyle and two bronze medals in 200m freestyle and medley
  • Tyler Krenkels (Y8) gold medal in 13 years 200m backstroke
  • Jack Edie (Y11) silver medal in 200m freestyle and bronze medal in the 100m freestyle
  • Joseph Hamson (Y8) bronze medals in 50m and 100m freestyle
  • U14 freestyle relay team of Bailey Farris, Mark Buddee, Shane Ting and Josh Johnson (Y9) bronze medal - see photo.
Special congratulations to Leon MacAlister who has been selected on the Australian Youth Team and will travel to Indianapolis in August for the World Junior Swimming Championships.
