Prep community donates new 200 books to Redfern Jarjum College


The Knox Prep community has donated more than $1,600 worth of new books to Jarjum College, a primary school in Redfern for K-6 Aboriginal students.

The Captain of the Prep Peter Sherlock and Vice Captain Joshua McInerney recently visited the College to deliver the books, which were donated by families throughout Book Week in August.

This donation follows on from previous donations of books, art, craft and play items which have been given to the College previously.

“We hope that we can continue to build relationships with Jarjum we can hold school visits and joint events in the future,” said the Year 4 Service Learning Denis Kelliher

The Principal of Redfern Jarjum College, Mrs Beatrice Sheen will attend school assembly  late November to express her thanks and speak to the boys in person.
