Year 10 boys see Bell Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet

More than 280 Year 10 Knox students visited the Sydney Opera House Playhouse Theatre to see Bell Shakespeare’s production of Romeo and Juliet on 14 May.

“The boys valued the experience, including the opportunity to see an authentic production by a world class theatre company,” said Knox English Teacher Mr Spiro Jovic.

The boys are studying Romeo and Juliet over nine weeks throughout this term and are exploring how Shakespeare uses characterisation to explore aspects of human character.

“Later this term the boys will present their ideas in a three minute speech about linking Shakespearean characterisation to wider human experiences,” said Mr Jovic.
