The Cadets, the Pipes & Drums and the musicians as always are a credit to the school and I congratulate them and thank them for their efforts here and in Sport. I look forward to all their involvement in Gala Day.

This Thursday sees the Captains of Sport announced as well as those selected in this weekend's 1st teams. I would also like to wish good luck to our swimmers and divers who are competing at NSW CIS Championships tonight and tomorrow.

Also, please note I have put in a short piece about mouthguards for all our contact sports.

Good luck this weekend - enjoy Gala Day - I thank all those who are doing sport and performing in KAPA events.

Matthew has been invited to meet the International Olympic President who is in Australia at present at Homebush on Wednesday.

Gymnastics - Thomas Mountstephens

During the school holidays Thomas Mountstephens placed 3rd overall at the NSW Gymnastics Championships. As a result he has been selected in the NSW team to compete at the National Championships in Melbourne next month.

Track and Field - Nick Frost

Nicholas Frost has again set new benchmarks and challenge the best in Australia with exceptional results. » Read More

Nicholas travelled  to Perth WA to contest The 2015 Asics Australian Teams Championships for U13 and U15 athletes which was held on Sunday 26th April 2015.

Nick battled 13 of Australia’s best Multi event athletes to claim a National Gold medal with an incredible 3,792 points across 5 events. Nick clocked 12.39sec and a new Personal Best in the 100m, Jumped 5.72m and clocked another Personal Best in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 13.83sec. After the first three events Nick was in 5th place with some 400 points to make up to the leaders. The Discus was always going to be Nick’s opportunity to change the tone of the competition and that he did with a colossal 62.17m throw to take the lead over his nearest competitor by 134 points. By controlling the 800m race Nick secured the Gold medal and an outstanding representation of NSW at the National Championships.

Knox Grammar School is extremely proud of this achievement.

Team lists are posted under the individual sports section on the Portal. e.g Football team lists, please go to the Football section on the Portal. For AFL, the team is selected and for Fencing, Karate, Orienteering and Golf, boys are not placed into teams.

A reminder that boys attending Gala day as spectators are to wear either their Sports Uniform or school tracksuit.


It is school policy that we recommend all students wear mouthguards for training and games for AFL, Football and Rugby. » Read More

For AFL, Football, Rugby and Winter Tennis, fixtures are posted on the Portal under ‘Sports Fixtures’. It is imperative parents check the Portal every Friday in case there has been a fixture change. 

Reading the Fixtures
On the Sports Fixtures page, the fixtures will be listed by sports (eg. Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Teeball). Click on to the relevant sport. Scroll down to find your son’s team which you have located previously on the team list under the individual sport.  Go to the column for the required Saturday/round of play.

With the above Fixture you will see ‘Cooper Park 1’ as the venue. You will need to then go to the ‘Directory of Venues’ (on the Knox Portal) and scroll down to Knox Grammar School and see if it is one of our venues or scroll down to Scots (as this is the opposition) and see if it is a Scots venue. Cooper 1 is a Scots venue and there you will see the address, which you could check via Google Maps.

We ask that parents do not contact other schools regarding where their son may be playing for a fixture. Please contact Ms McDonald for any fixture/venue query before Friday 3pm.

Sport fixtures are advertised on the fixture schedule on the Knox Portal.

These fixtures can change due to many factors and changes after 3pm on Fridays due to wet weather, cancellations or forfeits will be advertised on the sports info website and wet weather number. 

A mini website has been created for Prep and Senior School students and parents to get the latest sport wet weather information via their smartphone. Please visit and bookmark

Boarder Travel to Sport

Any boarder who needs assistance with travel arrangements to each Saturdays sport should check with their coach to assist in arranging transport. » Read More

Knox Dog Policy

Please note that Knox Grammar School has introduced a policy regarding dogs on our property and that all dogs on Knox property must be restrained on a lead at all times. » Read More

Owners must also immediately clean up after their dogs.


Any student attending any Knox sporting fixture and/or venue must be properly attired in either track suit or school uniform.
