Congratulations to all Squash teams who won their grand final and also to all those who were involved.  A great achievement.  Congratulations again to our Orienteers, who won the Metroleague.  It is wonderful to see students continuing to develop their skills with this high level competition.

On Thursday September 10 the CAS Track and Field Championships will be held and I encourage all students to come along and show their support on the day.  The forms are attached in this week’s bulletin.
All Summer sports choices should now be in, Period 7 Sport has commenced and trails for 1 st and 2nds teams have been advertised.  Students should ensure they have checked with the MIC for all opportunities to be involved.

Good luck to Vincent Dai as he competes in the World Juniors Swimming Championships in Singapore.

Also to  Michael Potter who is currently in Andorra, France competing in the U19 World Cup Mountain Biking Championships.

The competition involved monthly heats for 5 months, competing against 5 other teams of 6 runners from public clubs around NSW. The teams are open age with most consisting of adult competitors, making the Knox the only student only team. The Knox team consisted of Thomas Gordon, Jackson Booth, Heath Wallace, Isaac Roberts, David Tan along with coaches Nic Pittman and Dylan Sherman.

After winning 4/5 heats, the team competed in the finals this Sunday against Garingal Orienteers. Knox won, 33 to 21, taking out first, second and fourth places for individual times. Well done to Thomas Gordon for placing first in the division, with a time of 30 minutes and 20 seconds.

A huge thank you to all parents for their support at every event and perseverance with some very long drives to remote locations.

Knox Dog Policy

To improve safety of the students and visitors to the school, we are moving to a No Dogs Allowed policy. It is unlawful for dogs (Companion Animal Act 1998), leashed or unleashed, to be on school grounds, unless they are assistance dogs, security patrol dogs or police dogs. » Read More

Dogs may no longer be brought onto any Knox Grammar School property, including the Prep and Senior School campuses and all playing fields, including Curagul and Gillespie Fields.

New signage will be installed over the coming weeks reflecting this change in policy. Our Security Team has been asked to let parents and carers know that we are moving to a dog free school.  If you bring a dog onto school property, you may be approached by the School’s Security Team and asked to leave.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding on this safety initiative.

Any student attending any Knox sporting fixture and/or venue must be properly attired in either track suit or school uniform.

It is school policy that we recommend all students wear mouthguards for training and games for AFL, Football and Rugby. » Read More
