Knox Grammar School
More than 80 Knox athletes represented the school at the CAS Track and Field Championships on Thursday, with three CAS records broken by Knox students.
Max Mandera broke the 15 years 200m dash record in a time of 22.60 seconds.
Tom Shannon broke the 15 years shot put with a throw of 17.46m, beating the previous record of 17.40m.
The Knox 15 years 4 x 100 metre relay team of Max Mandera, Archie Dwyer, Lucas van de Scheur and Cooper Stormonth beat the CAS record in a time of 44.25s, breaking the previous record of 44.38s (which has stood since 2010).
Knox students achieved 56 personal best times or distances in the competition.
The Knox team was supported by a crowd of approximately 500 Knox students and supporters.
The overall winner of the championships was Trinity Grammar School.

“We were motivated to invent a tool that would help the community and society, by making an application not just for us students,” said Daniel (Year 11). “From what I’ve observed, our Student Administration Officer takes a lot of phone calls about student absence, and she could have more time to be focused on more meaningful tasks.”

Titration Club launched in Term 2 with great success, attracting more than 40 Years 11-12 Chemistry students. Each week, students performed precise analytical titrations in preparation for the NSW National Titration Competition, held on Friday 13 June at the University of Technology Sydney.
