Farewell, Class of 2026
"When I think about my own time at Knox, I realise just how many different parts of this school have shaped me,” our 2026 School Captain Mani said, as he gave his final speech at the Valedictory Ceremony. “I came here as a Year 7 boy, I had absolutely no idea what the next six years would look like. I picked up a saxophone. I played football. I took up Cadets. I got involved in Social Justice and Service.
“I tried new things, and I met new people. And looking back those things seem like completely different parts of my life. But they all have one thing in common, which is that someone at Knox gave me the opportunity to have a go. And that is something I’ll always be grateful for.”
The Class of 2026 is a cohort whose kindness, courage and compassion have left a lasting impact on the Knox community. On Monday 21 September, students gathered with their families, friends and teachers for the Valedictory Ceremony, celebrating the conclusion of their school journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
The day commenced with the traditional procession from the Weeks Senior Academy along the Boulevard and into the Great Hall. There, families and guests enjoyed heartfelt reflections, inspiring speeches and outstanding musical performances by Knox students and staff. The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise the many contributions of the Class of 2026, with awards presented across academic, sporting, co-curricular and community pursuits.
Addressing the graduating class, Headmaster Scott James encouraged the young men to focus not on achievement alone, but on character: "Measure your life not by what you achieve, but by who you become. Contentment is not found in having more, achieving more, or being more than the person beside you. It comes from knowing what matters and ordering your life around it. Give your attention to what is good, worthwhile, and enduring, because over time, your attention shapes your character. If you do that, the character you have built here at Knox will remain one of your greatest strengths."

Yesterday, the stands at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre were a sea of Black and Blue as students, parents, coaches, staff and supporters came together to cheer on our CAS Track and Field team, with the Tartan Army leading the charge.

Unmissable Event: Growing Up in the Age of Algorithms

In 2025, Knox Grammar and Wahroonga Prep joined the Independent Schools NSW 'Respectful Relationships: Proactive Education' initiative. The program is designed to strengthen a whole-school approach to respectful relationships, helping young people develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions required to build healthy and respectful interactions throughout their lives.
