Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy is pleased to announce a new onsite physiotherapy support initiative for students and staff.
Knox Grammar School
The Knox Sports Clinic is located within the Lawson Centre on the Senior Campus and is operated through a partnership between Knox Grammar School and Hornsby Physiotherapy Centre, with Head Physiotherapist Narelle Veverka leading the facility.
Ms Veverka has worked as the School’s Head Physiotherapist for more than 20 years and has worked closely with Boarding, Rugby, Football, AFL, Track and Field, Basketball and Swimming teams up to Olympic level.
She has a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from Sydney University; has also qualified as an Australian Physiotherapy Association Titled Sports Physiotherapist and Level 3 Sports Physiotherapist, and is a World Rugby Medical Educator.
Head Coach KnoxFit & SWAT Jack Solomon with Ms Veverka.
“We are really excited to take the health and wellbeing of our students and staff to the next level by having one of the most highly regarded Sports Physiotherapists on the North Shore join our team,” says Head of Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy, Martin Haywood.
“The opportunity to align with Hornsby Physiotherapy Centre offers some of the best care and support for our students right here at the Senior School.
“This means there is no need for ‘after hours’ bookings or students missing a day off school, or parents having to take time out of their own work day to take their child to a physio.”
All staff and students across the three Knox campuses are welcome to take advantage of this new facility.
Services are not limited to the treatment of sports injuries or our elite student athletes. Orthapaedics, rheumatological, postural-related, chronic musculoskeletal, other injuries and osteoathritis are some of the conditions that can be treated at the Knox Sports Clinic.
