As this year's Reviewing Officer, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK AC (Mil) CVO MC (Retd), performed the troop inspection, took the salute from the Cadets and delivered an address in which he paid tribute to the life of Lieutenant Robin Pothof (OKG64), killed in Vietnam in 1970.

Sir Peter relayed his gratitude to the Unit for their service and to the School for its recognition of Anzac Day. He also reflected that the values taught in Cadets resonate with him still.
The Knox Grammar Cadet Unit, which is comprised of 1,250 Knox and Ravenswood students, was established in 1929, with its female recruits joining in 2011.
Anzac Day ceremonies have been held at the School since 1931 and the first Memorial Service was held in 1946, attended by the families of fallen Old Boys. Seventy-one Knox men have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country – we will remember them.

“And so, as we close this chapter, I am filled with gratitude for every person who has helped us along the way. Knox has been the soil, the sun, and the rain and we, like resilient thistles, are ready to take what we have learned and flourish wherever life may take us.” - Arjun, 2025 School Captain.
