Staff and visiting guests gathered at Knox on 12 August for a Twilight Networking Event. Bringing leaders together for an evening of connection and conversation, attendees later heard from internationally bestselling author, former state champion boxer and business owner Luke Kennedy.
The event fostered conversation and collaboration, strengthening connections within the Knox community and beyond, and creating space to reflect on the shared purpose of education and leadership.
Attendees later gathered in the Drama Theatre to hear from internationally bestselling author, former state champion boxer and business owner Luke Kennedy, whose engaging presentation explored leadership through the lens of authenticity, resilience and service. Blending humour with honest personal stories, Luke challenged attendees to consider how vulnerability, self-awareness and genuine human connection can strengthen leadership in teaching and learning. He also shared practical habits that support wellbeing, build resilience and foster stronger team connections.
Through sharing his own powerful journey, he inspired all to challenge their limits, embrace personal responsibility, and recognise the impact we all can have on the lives of those around us.
Reflecting on the presentation, Dr Andrew Weeding (Deputy Headmaster K-12 and Head of Senior School) noted the strong alignment between Luke's APEX leadership model and Knox's Service Leadership philosophy:
"It was such an engaging evening filled with insight, humour and stories that were incredibly relatable," said Leanne Edmond, Knox Chief People and Culture Officer.
The evening offered valuable insights and practical strategies for staff, while reaffirming the importance of purposeful leadership, meaningful relationships and service to others within the Knox community.

Year 12 student Nathan represented Australia for the third time in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), travelling to Uzbekistan in Term 3 to compete with hundreds of students from dozens of countries across the globe.

"When I think about my own time at Knox, I realise just how many different parts of this school have shaped me,” our 2026 School Captain Mani said, as he gave his final speech at the Valedictory Ceremony. “I came here as a Year 7 boy, I had absolutely no idea what the next six years would look like. I picked up a saxophone. I played football. I took up Cadets. I got involved in Social Justice and Service.

Yesterday, the stands at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre were a sea of Black and Blue as students, parents, coaches, staff and supporters came together to cheer on our CAS Track and Field team, with the Tartan Army leading the charge.
