CENTENARY STORIES

Our first School Song

The first School Song Comites Knoxonienses was used in 1929. The lyrics are thought to have been chosen by the Choir Master Mr E Lewis Jones and the Latin words written by Headmaster Neil MacNeil. The School Song was published in the School’s 1934 song book and is remembered by many of the early Knox Old Boys.
In 1982, Brian Buggy OAM (Master of Music 1975 to 2007), wrote A School Song, which would become the official School Song that we know today.
