CENTENARY STORIES

The Jools Collection

The Jools Collection was donated to Knox by Dr Nic and Mrs Barbara Jools. Nic (OKG59) was enrolled at Knox in 1954 as a member of McIlrath House. He fully immersed himself in all aspects of school life, becoming a Corporal in the Cadet Unit, a member of the Swimming Team from 1956 to 1959 (Vice-Captain with half colours), Captain of the 4th XI Football Team and a Senior in 1959.

After completing the Leaving Certificate in 1959, Nic returned as a Resident Master while studying Medicine at the University of Sydney. During an illustrious medical career he maintained interest in the School, including serving as Vice President of the Knox Foundation.

Nic and Barbara collected art throughout their lives and made this generous gift to the School to mark Nic’s 45 years of commitment to Knox.
