Two Knox students have topped the state in three HSC subjects – Hugh McKenzie Latimer and Jacob Johnstone received First in Course for Economics, and First in Course for English Extension 1 and Legal Studies respectively.

Nearly 130 students from around New South Wales gathered on Wednesday 13 December at Western Sydney University after receiving the exciting news, receiving a certificate from Minister for Education and Early Learning Prue Car.
Headmaster Scott James said: "We are incredibly proud of Jacob and Hugh for these distinguished accomplishments. Throughout their time at Knox, both students have demonstrated the utmost dedication in all endeavours, and this acknowledgement exemplifies their excellence in the academic arena.
"I also wish to acknowledge Jacob and Hugh’s teachers for their exceptional dedication and expertise, and the pivotal role they played in shaping these students’ academic journeys and contributing to their success.
"This achievement is a testament to the quality of teaching that defines Knox.”

“We were motivated to invent a tool that would help the community and society, by making an application not just for us students,” said Daniel (Year 11). “From what I’ve observed, our Student Administration Officer takes a lot of phone calls about student absence, and she could have more time to be focused on more meaningful tasks.”
