Recently, our Year 5 Prep students ventured to CRU Camp at Lake Macquarie, where they stepped beyond their comfort zones and tried a range of new activities.

At camp, the boys strengthened their friendships and further developed their independence.
From trying water activities for the first time, to overcoming challenges, the students shared what they found to be memorable in their camping experience:
“I have never gone on a sailboat before! The best part was sitting on the net and getting splashed by the water, it felt like being in a jacuzzi!”
“I've have never gone fishing; it really requires patience. And also strength, to wind in the line.”
“It was my first time rafting. We built our own raft, and everybody worked together to make sure our raft floated. It was really fun!”
“Falling asleep in my tent was pretty difficult, but it helped when I pushed my head against the side of the tent and looked at the stars.”
“It was tricky getting so high up in the rock climbing, so I needed to be determined. In the end, I got up to number eight, which is pretty high.”
“I did the dishes a lot during the camp. It's important that I learnt to do this because when I grow up, I'll have to do this myself.”
