After school, James worked on his family property ‘Birrah’ at Garah, near Moree. He married Betty Dickinson in 1937 and they had two children.
1924 1st XV Rugby Team
James, known as Jim, was the 18th enrolled student at Knox. He attended the School as a Boarder from 1924 to 1929.
James was in the School’s first 1st XV and played House Rugby for School House. He was on the Senior Drill Team and in 1927, was awarded the Form Remove 6th Place Prize.
