After school, Carl worked on the family property and became engaged to Margaret Stackpool. He enlisted in the Army and was tragically killed in a training accident in 1943. He is remembered on Old Boys’ War Memorial. The School is privileged to hold memorabilia from Carl’s time at School as well as his military service.
The Rugby Football Challenge Cup, for House rugby competition, was donated by his father AB Fisher and first awarded in 1926.
Carl’s brothers Rex (OKG27) and Arthur (OKG33) attended the School. Rex’s son, Tony (OKG53), and Arthur’s grandsons (sons of David Fisher) Benjamin (OKG94), [JC1] Jock (OKG96) and Toby (OKG00) also attended.
