Robert Charles Reid Savage (OKG30)

Knox's #32 Student 1924

Robert was the 32nd student enrolled at Knox. He attended the School from 1924 to 1930. He was awarded the Sports and Studies Prize in 1924.

Robert played for the School’s first 1st XV Rugby team in 1924 and was selected again in 1925 and 1930. He represented the School in Associated Track and Field and was awarded Colours in 1929 and 1930. Robert played in the 1st XI Cricket team from 1929 and was awarded Colours in his final year.

Robert participated in the School drama production and was a Corporal in the Drill Team. He was appointed School Senior for North House.

After school, he studied Engineering at the University of Sydney and moved to England to become a Student Apprentice Engineer. He returned to Sydney as a merchant and married Edith.
