Robert Jamieson Morson (OKG29)

Knox's #37 Student 1925

Robert, or Bob as he was known, was the 37th student enrolled at Knox. He attended the School as a boarder from 1925 to 1927. He participated in House and School Plays, an interest he continued after leaving School.

Bob was awarded the Mathematics Prize and 4th Place in his Form in 1926. He played in the 1st XI Cricket team and 1st XV Rugby team, achieving Rugby Colours in 1927.

After school, Bob served as the Old Knox Grammarians’ Association’s first Secretary from 1929 for three years. Bob married Edith in 1940. In the same year, he enlisted in the Australian Army rising to the rank of Lieutenant in 2/7 Armoured Regiment. He became a photographer and captured images of Old Boys on many occasions.

Bob’s brother Stuart (OKG30) and his son Robert (OKG60) also attended the School.
