David was the 40th student enrolled at Knox. He attended the School from 1925 to 1933. He was a member of South House.
After school, David became a medical practitioner. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force and served as a Flight Lieutenant in the 22 Medical Clearing Station. David married Kathleen Russell.
