Hear from our Knox community

We look forward to sharing with you all that you could achieve and experience as a Knox Grammar School or Wahroonga Preparatory School employee.

Knox staff embody a collaborative spirit

"I love working at Knox because of the boys you get to work with each and every day, they are inquisitive, compassionate and embody such a wonderful sense of fun. Every day is different but the joy and energy remain the same.

The culture of Knox lies in the collective commitment of our staff. It’s this collaborative spirit that truly defines our unique work environment, where each individual contributes to the wellbeing and success of the boys.

Working with such a high-quality teaching team provides an invaluable opportunity for professional growth. Our diverse group of teachers, hailing from various backgrounds and experiences, enriches the collaborative learning environment. Each staff member brings a unique perspective and set of skills, fostering a dynamic atmosphere where innovative ideas are cultivated.

The boys of Knox are always eager to tackle new challenges whether it on the sporting field, Innovation Hub or in the classroom. Their passion to learn more about the world around them, engage in innovative practices, and learn how they can make a difference in the world around them is infectious."

Working at Knox is a joy

"I love working at Knox as the boys impress me every day. It could be through humour, intellect, or compassion, but every day I am witness to or play a role in something great, which is incredibly rewarding.

I also get to work with amazing people who embrace a team approach in all that they do. We work together to provide phenomenal opportunities for the betterment of our boys, and it is a joy to be a part of."

Knox has a culture of young people wanting to better themselves

"Working at Knox has offered me experienced mentorship across all areas of the School, specifically youth development, outdoor education, and event management. Knox has been a welcoming working environment where I have met so many new people through the co-curricular offerings. Offerings of personal development programs have enabled a fresh balance in my new role.

Student leadership offering at the School has enabled a culture of young people wanting to always progress and better themselves."

-Ben Moss, Cadet Adjutant and Training Officer

We have an unmeasurable sense of gratitude for our teachers

"In my experience, all staff and teachers embody an unwavering sense of passion and dedication to learning, which helps the student body beyond measure to reach our goals.

The greatest aspect in being a Knox student is the camaraderie and sense of mateship, which flows throughout the school, transcending year groups, sports, or any other defining characteristic.

All students express an unmeasurable sense of gratitude for the gift the teachers give us, in their commitment to working alongside us, helping to guide and support us to reach our full potential."

We produce professional athletes

"I love working in a department that understands the impact we have on the boys' lives and role we play in their journey. What I like most of all is seeing the influence we have – from a student walking through the gates for the very first time, to him saying goodbye in Year 12, we are able to see how he has grown and matured into a young man. Some of these young men go on to become professional athletes.

Due to the extensive list of offerings, every day is different and I get to work with so many talented coaches and high quality administrators. The facilities are exceptional at Knox, which makes the experience with the boys so much more enjoyable and easier to manage. We also have the opportunity to look forward to tours with teams which provide so many wonderful memories."
