ENROLMENTS FAQ
WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We are experiencing high demand for places at Wahroonga Prep. To secure your place, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
WHAT ARE YOUR ENTRY POINTS?
Girls and boys can start at Wahroonga Prep in any year group provided a vacancy is available. Places are strictly limited, so we encourage you to submit your enrolment application as soon as possible.
WHAT ARE THE KEY STEPS TO ENROL MY CHILD AT WAHROONGA PREP?
- Return your completed Enrolment Application Form and other requested documents to the Wahroonga Prep Office and pay your Application Fee.
- Make an appointment for an interview
- If your application is successful, you will receive confirmation in writing and be asked to pay an Enrolment Fee to secure your child’s place at Wahroonga Prep.
I WOULD LIKE MY CHILD TO START AT WAHROONGA PREP AND THEN MOVE TO KNOX GRAMMAR SCHOOL. DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR KNOX SEPARATELY?
Yes, you must submit separate applications for Wahroonga Prep and Knox Grammar School.
To make use of the pathway to Knox, parents are strongly advised to apply to both schools at the same time. Final confirmation of enrolments at Knox takes place two years from arrival, and Wahroonga Prep boys need to be part of this process in order to ensure that they get a place and are also part of the orientation process.
Places at Knox are in high demand for all year levels and we would not want Wahroonga Prep boys to miss out because they have not applied.
Parents of boys transferring to Knox will not have to pay two sets of fees associated with enrolment. Parents will pay the Knox Enrolment Fees, less those Enrolment Fees already paid at Wahroonga Prep.
If you have any questions about Knox Grammar School or this process, please contact Martin Gooding, Head of Enrolments, at goodingm@knox.nsw.edu.au or call 9473 9768.
DO YOU OFFER WAHROONGA PREP SCHOLARSHIPS?
No, we do not offer scholarships for Wahroonga Prep at present. Scholarships are available for Knox Prep and Knox Senior School.
What pathways do you offer for girls?
Knox Grammar School and its sister school Ravenswood School for Girls share a commitment to the whole student, embracing a common approach to learning, and the wellbeing of all students.
Wahroonga Preparatory School offers a pathway to both schools, ensuring continuity and confidence in students and their families. In particular, Ravenswood School for Girls provides an opportunity for continuity of learning, character and values, as girls move into and through secondary school, and we encourage families to consider this option. Wahroonga Prep is happy to assist in this process.
Enrolment at Ravenswood School for Girls is a separate process, so may also like to contact the Enrolment Team at Ravenswood directly.
