OKGA : Introduction

Membership

The Old Knox Grammarian's Association is a wonderful group of some 9,000 registered members, all of whom share the common experience of having attended Knox Grammar School.

And like any group of great diversity, they display a wide range of ages (from those who attended the school in the year it opened in 1924 to those who graduated last year), backgrounds and interests. Their careers and achievements since they left the School have taken them all in different directions to the far reaches of the globe but still they share their association with Knox.

While there have been Olympians and Paralympians, Wallabies, Hollywood stars and movie directors, Hawker Scholarship winners and Supreme Court Judges, of greatest pride always remains the high calibre of men who take their place within society and the OKGA.

The OKGA is all about staying in touch with those who share a common experience, philosophy and connection. On these pages of the website is information about the Association, how to get involved and how to connect with other OKGs. We particularly encourage OKGs to visit the Online Directory section (in the menu bar at the left) and register for online updates. It is by making the effort to stay in touch we can all be sure that an education at Knox truly does last a lifetime.

Membership of the OKGA is for life and involves the payment of a one-off fee.

Crossing the Ditch - Book OUT NOW!

Remember last year when our very own Knox adventurers, James Castrission and Justin Jones, made history in becoming the first people to ever kayak across the Tasman Sea? They are now extremely excited to announce that there book Crossing the Ditch has just been released! Order a signed copy from their website or source a copy from any good bookstore today!

James absolutely loved writing Crossing the Ditch which is not only about the journey, but also about the years leading up to the crossing and the huge transformation that Justin and James went through in getting there. It's a brutally honest account that provides an insight to the reader as to "why?"

"This is the gripping and inspirational account of two ordinary blokes deciding to shake off their slack city ways, climb out of their fat comfortable ruts, and use their brains, their brawn and their sheer awe-inspiring courage to turn themselves into modern-day supermen and double-handedly prove that The Age of Adventure is not over!"
Peter FitzSimons
