A warm welcome
Meeting the Challenge
Welcome to Knox Grammar School, a school proud of its tradition and values, but equally proud of its history of educational innovation; together these two strands, tradition and innovation, make Knox a boys' school of enormous promise, challenge and success.
Under the auspices of the Uniting Church in Australia, Knox offers an outstanding range of educational and developmental opportunities from Kindergarten to Year 12, for day boys and boarders.
What I like about Knox is its openness and its opportunities. Everywhere you look, you will meet boys and young men full of energy and enjoyment, engaged in what they are doing.
You'll find them in the kindergarten vegetable garden,
You'll find them at the school art exhibition proudly showing their parents their works,
You'll find them singing in the choirs or playing instruments in the musical groups at the Preparatory School and the Senior School,
You'll find them on the stage, acting or performing,
You'll find them in the Boarding Centre,
You'll find them in the classrooms, exploring, creating and learning, working in partnership with highly qualified and experienced staff,
You'll find them out in the community, serving others, and
You'll find them on the playing fields.
This is my third Headship, and I feel very much at home here, in a school which challenges great boys to become great men, but supports them wholly and wholeheartedly in their endeavours; a school which encourages young men to think not just about themselves, but about their community, and their world.
This is a school with purpose.
When you visit us, and I strongly encourage you to do so, by all means look closely at our magnificent facilities, but also take the time to talk to us, to our students, and our staff. Take the time to feel how your boy, whether he is entering Kindergarten, or Years 5 or 7, or even arriving as a boarder, will thrive.
I look forward to meeting you.
